Disillusined

Disillusioned

Pushed and run over, always I was made to stand by the side,
Neglected and thrashed, I believed the time was not right,

Dismayed, left to tend to my bruises and wounds,
Surviving on morsels of life scattered here and there, I held onto my ground,

The fight they put was unusual and applauded,
Reminiscent of a struggle, for centuries that had lasted,

Delivering justice they were then, comprehensive and accommodative,
Men learned and those not so wise, stood as one, none submissive,

Where have I been led to today, disillusioned by my own choice,
A plethora of outcomes, never imagined will make a nation think twice,

Anarchy, they call their movement,
Finding precedence, only in some distant archaic settlement....
