When I Got Hit!

In the 1996 movie The Ghost and The Darkness, Michael Douglas says to Val Kilmer who just had a narrow escape from getting killed by a lion; "My Friend You have just been hit". The same thing happened to me, after I watched Slumdog Millionaire last night. I had been looking forward to one good movie this year. The Dark Knight, Rock On and A Wednesday were good, but Slumdog...is mindblowing. The utter sincerity with which a realistic experience is provided to the viewer is a work of great artist. The artist here is just about everyone related to the movie. The cast is superb, the narration excellent, direction meticulous, screenplay......You could just go on writing good things about this movie because its not just a movie its the reality.

Only sorry part a movie with storyline based out of India is made in the UK. The Bollywood has a long way to go before we conceive such movies. The scene where Young Jamal jumps into a "Shithole" only to reach in time for an autograph of Amitabh is one of the most touchy moments in the movie.

I have been "Hit" and "Slumdogged"
