KITES....

Cant sleep before putting down a few lines about the not so memorable...and very forgettable , but still highly awaited movie KITES. It starts with a scene ditto to The Kite Runner, then runs like any other bollywood movie and then enters Barbara Mori.

The interesting thing to note from here on is that the movie is no more a hindi movie or an english movie. It probably becomes a spanish movie out of Mexico may be because the film industry there is too tiny. Barbara is very much a look a like of our desi sensation Sameera Reddy. And whatever Barbara did Sameera would have done happily at almost no fee, so as to be able to be casted next to Hrithink. As there is a big language divide why go so far in the west, they could have patched a gaon ka panju and similarly gaon ki tamilian girl. They would have had a very remarkable similarity to this situation.

Hrithik only fires for the first time towards the end of the movie and kills a few. But all through the movie many die saving him!!! At a time the movie looked to be heading The Duplicity way, but traces its bollywoodian roots. The Hrithik's gun shoot scene reminds of the Tom Hanks movie, Road to Perdition.

In times of crisis these people should have spent the same amount in India and created some demand, instead they tried to revive the US economy by shooting there entirely. And then smartly finding a bigger fool in Reliance ADAG (no points to guess)in India. So Indian shareholders ended up financing a trip to US-Mexico-back to US-then again Mexico...

Gotta go now...
