Should I swim or just float

Even though all of my teenage, seems like an old time now, was spent in Gurgaon I have come to detest living here for past many years. In fact after living in Hyderabad, Gurgaon seems to be a poor cousin of a third world country's city. Its good DLF and many others have built skyscrapers in the city otherwise it would have been difficult for everyone to be accomodated in the swimming pools on the roads here.

I think more than half the city roads are beneath rainwater. It is a good respite for the municipality here since there were no roads in most of the city. The other day I went for an evening run on the sector roads, it felt as if I am running on a mud track with pebbles and rocks on it. So with pounding rains the mess that the municipality didnt cover for years is now hidden. A friend of mine had a car mishap few days back, his car started to float over the water as he couldnt judge the depth of water in the street.

I noticed several signboards this time around mentioning "welcome to the millenium city". Its a bit watery welcome but atleast its there. The lack of storm water drains, sewage disposal and most importantly roads has never been taken seriously here. Whenever I think of venturing out in my car for a drive.....I stop thinking!! Today the choice is between whether to go to the club for a swim or choose my street for the same.......!!
