I have been a regular Delhi Metro traveller for sometime now, and the metro ride is one of the most highlighted subjects of my previous blogs given the amazing ease and cost savings it provides. However this is only the second time I dared to pull out my laptop for use. The first time when I did so I realised it is painful to work in a moving metro. Though, today I had some “Curious” thoughts and couldn’t resist putting together another blog.
A few minutes back I was with a close friend, graduating from one of the top notch Indian B-school. We met at usual drinks and snacks table at a CP, the bustling CBD of Delhi, restaurant. “Curiously” it is the tenth straight day I must have had the same discussion though with different audience, in each of these meets. The conversations start with greetings, move to drinks and latest occurrences and ultimately moving to “where are we headed?”
My only advise to this 26 year old lad was enjoy your time, make some money..but keep your conscience clear. And my advise used to come with a standard disclaimer, buddy you are too young to actually even consider to act on my advise. You have 4-5 long years to catch up to me hence develop your own theories, now is the time to enjoy.
I will rewind two days back, when I was with my friends both 5 years older to me....and they discussed the same with me. Only the direction of information flow was reversed. I realised whatever the platform, when friends get together and have a few years of experience under their belts and probably are not pleased with where they are, they end up talking “life” or as I like to call it “liPhe”
I would borrow a close for this blog from a recent conversation
“work=satisfaction=happiness=no wrinkles=young feel” :) I hope there is no copyright infringement here.....
And I think I am no master at this complex, intriguing and scary-at-times topic of discussion..hence I would leave it as open...as it was at the start of conversation....to only reconnect and restart it at another drinks and snacks session.
More importantly, I have to figure out a way to look thinner/slimmer/leaner...over and above my routine workout :)
