Getting Used to CP

CP, a two alphabet acronym for Class Participation. The first time I heard about the novel concept was some months back when a friend of mine commented on other's behavior "tu general CP karta hai" (you unnecessarily seek CP). It was the time I was enlightened to the World of Class Participation, a World that backoned me months down the line.

A week into my MBA lectures I have truly and gracefully accepted the idea of CP. I am still struggling to graduate to the levels required to be an effective (read ineffective CPant). The best part for me of this CP show is that in a class of 70+ at least 40 hands are up for any random question tossed by the professor. The answers to these random questions are equally random (remember dependent independent from the Stats class). Now here is the beauty, you seek a dependent variable as an answer :-) but many a times you get an independent one!!! (truly unrelated). Kya karen bhai CP to kerni hai (how to help, CP is necessary needs to be done).

The CP show is a blockbuster, it has all the ingredients to provide some laughs on a mundane day. Yet what perplexes me is at 6ft tall and at least a 3 ft hand to show, I somehow don't enthuse the tutor for him to call me for a round of CP :-).

Here is an example of Arbit CP. Prof "Indigo is a low cost airline, pl tell us any other example of such service." And 50 hands go up.....one soul is pleased to have been called out......"Sir: Spice Jet (no-brainer,even a kid would say that given Indigo as an example)." Right after answering that one, the guy would seek the Teaching Assistant to check whether some points are being awarded.

In the whole gamut of writings on CP that are doing rounds at campus, these were my two cents. I am sure, I am going to be rewarded many a laughs the year round...may be this is one of those reasons they say MBA is all about Fun or what I call Phun!!!

Jai CP!!!
