On India elections and Narendra Modis candidature

Political Idea

Not that his name is prominent just like that,
Years of work and adulation, may have changed a spoilt brat,
You may wish day and night to dig his grave,
Looks to me, the destiny has his name engraved,
Within the political spheres of this nation
A name so rudimentary that of a tea seller, is commanding admiration,

Already disputed, you further tend to malign,
His work and character, did someone say he is divine,
Ignoring several million smiles,
Flourishing in lands where he guides,
A TEAM, and not autonomy,
For economic and social benefits accruing to many,

You couldn't beat him there or drive him out,
Now so formidable is his clout,
It's difficult not to love or hate him,
He caught your imagination, and became part of your lives,
Whether a cup of tea or gathering over wine,
He is discussed as an ideology of either yours or mine...
