To me the hills speak

To me the hills speak

Staring at city's sea while the tide thrives,
And I listen to the waves crashing into the shore, as the time flies,
There isn't much that compares to such a soothing sight,
Still the moments that tie me down are a distant affair,

Quintessential as it ever was,
Amidst the pines, numerous evenings we dined,
Joyous friends and family by my side,
And that view of the valley, is only next to divine,

I belong there, for which,
This concrete jungle doesnt care,
The unending search for a daily bread and some clothes to tuck myself,
Led me amongst people who don't even opine,

For millions who migrate,
Lives of whose are only set to deteriorate,
No way then could you preserve the charm of our  countryside,
All of which languishes in my head, struggling to survive...
