With great concern for the lives of innocent men and women, I am watching the gory scenes of terror and violence on the news while police is fighting the militants in Mumbai. The city is very close to my heart, for various reasons though I left Mumbai in 2005. The terrorists have found a new formula for "success", I would say the
"2008 formula": attack more often in smaller teams and across the country. I think its the first time ever I feel a bit scared going out.
The worst is, we seem to have lost the J&K Terrorists and its a new species which is home bred and attacking their own motherland every now and then. There is no one else to blame but the complacent nature of the present Government in power. If India is not safe from within how could the country keep dreaming of fighting wars successfully.
The Ruling coalition has members with a soft corner for the terror outfits because they represent a certain community with huge vote banks. This needs to end, we need to put make the criminals meet their fate and need to have reliable and responsible people lead the country.
