Laffer(ed) Curve: How Men React in a Public Urinal

Laffer curve in economics depicts that with increasing tax rates, the productivity of labour improves as the man at the machine needs to sweat out more to earn a good living. But at a point the curve turns around to say "Hey taxman!! here it is, take me coz I can't fill your coffers anymore". So eventually the productivity starts to fall.

These days I am preparing my application for the US MBA schools and I have fallen in love with the word "experiential learning". For anything anyone says to me I say hey bro!! all you need is a dose of experiential learning. So while I was at a public urinal today facing the wall yet in the queue I noticed something only a lucky few can witness. In the three urinals, three generations of a man had their necks (head) held at different angles. Now I dipped into my pool of experiential learning and juxtaposed experiential learning over it.

So it starts here, as a male kid you always look upto urinal!! coz you can't reach one. As one starts to grow so does his male ego, so while you turn a teenager there is a tendency to look sideways!! as if seeking inspiration :-) sometimes it turns out that you are the winner and deserve an applause. As a fully grown adult man, when the growth literally stops :-), there is no use looking sideways, thus you look straight. And if you really think too highly about yourself you may look upwards. Victory!!!

But as one starts to age, and things around him stop looking up, the head also tilts downwards looking for something!! Finally you enter your last mile probably, and there is nothing to look upto, or sideways etc etc. Therefore when i looked at those three men, I saw the stages I passed by and the ones I may enter into. Laffer is justified here as well. Yet the perennial question that would never get answered, why do we have to face the damn wall!!! Does it mean, dude bang your head here?!
