Turning a page

Sifting through the pages I just read,
Some forgotten, many still afresh,

Unable to move beyond an important chapter,
Now even my grasp is beginning to taper,

Every problem here seems to matter,
Simply scoring isn't making me any better,

Stumbling even at a few vital ones,
Pushed me back whilst I was aiming for home runs,

There is something unusual in it,
That I still strive,

This maze of problems continues to thrive,
As I gather myself to give it another try.
