Was I falling for you or were you for me,
It was quick and sudden, I didn't realise,
Trying to ascertain a future,
I was being held up by my nature,

This wasn't the first, I was praying for it to last,
With you I imagined,
A reality worth admiration,
Studded with your courage and determination,

To circumvent the usual unusual challenges, I foresaw,
We differed, yet I complied with the hope you trigerred,
Then why is it you disappeared,
Today, there isn't even a trace of you in the ambient air,

The talks, the laughs, the pulling of each other,
Moments that were being strung up in anticipation,
Novel it was all, is all that I remember,
Your walking away meekly, reminds me of burden of my own expectations
