If only,
life were a game of squash,
defined and bound by four walls,
varying heights but established rules,
solitary door one could walk through,
separating the strivers and miscellaneous,
two players, me and you,
If only,
life were a game of squash,
We would have known the virtue of initial shots,
an even bounce that eludes at the start,
prepares you for a battle that lasts,
till you played out to your heart's desire,
why then should we retire,
If only,
life were a game of squash,
change of serves, some strokes and lets, the only penalties one could get,
game will still carry on, the ball will heat up and cool down,
there are no walls that confine, our lives that are now entwined,
multiple doors, some ajar some closed, behind them limitless opportunities lure,
choice is ours to play on and walk together through the same door, don't you worry, will maintain the score.
