My thumb
For once I believe in the power of my thumb,
A tool so powerful, but unused and strung,
In myriad vagaries of a daily life, I forbade it to triumph,
Exploited, suppressed and misled, now it's oozing oomph,
Me, my friends and every citizen, relentlessly aspiring to deliver,
A mandate to survive, a mandate to overcome,
These traps laid by seemingly intelligentsia,
Wolf in sheep's clothing, who hail as a success criteria,
For once I believe in not being anchored,
To thoughts of dynasty, the thoughts of being led.
